need new water pump for trailer

Well, it appears that the 10 year-old water pump in the trailer gave up the ghost. It makes a muffled noise and doesn't appear to push water from a full tank. I will confirm soon by disconnecting the downstream hose and seeing if there is flow.



Any recommendations from the TDR membership about replacement, quiet, dependable, reasonable cost waterpumps?



The trailer has two sinks, one bath and one outside shower. Not likely more than two are being used at one time.

Search - water pump - Camping World It will probably be one of these. Check with your local RV Dealer, may be less expensive after you add shipping. bg

Your water pump may very well be expired and as BGS above suggested, several good brands of similar quality are availabe from CW.

Before you buy a replacement pump make sure your pump is taking a suction on a tank with water in it and not discharging to a forgotten open valve in the system. It is easy to forget how to properly line up the water heater tank bypass valves or other valve in the fresh water system and misdiagnose the pump.

Harvey was right about the suction. My old pump had none. I installed a replacement diaphram pump using the existing electric motor. The new pump and motor was only about 25. 00 more but the store was out of those.



Works great now. Until the next item lets go... .

Although I have yet to order anything from them, just waiting for some spare cash to upgrade my water pump. I have a 2. 9 gph flo pump, which is like taking a shower in the light rain or should I say a mist

True, not a lot of water flow. However, a higher flow pump depletes your water heater's tank (and fresh water tank) that much faster. I had a residential shower head (high flow) in the trailer for one trip. I couldn't remove it fast enough. The grey water tank filled up in a New York minute.
