Need new windsheild

Has anybody bought a new windsheild from anywhere other than a dealer? I'd like to not spend 1200 dollars or whatever the dealer would want if they even have it.

Call around to the various glass shops. You should be able to pay less than $200.

So far a local glass place gave me a bid of $327 installed, sounds good, i'll take a few more bids before deciding.

Why don't you add full glass coverage to your insurance? It's only about $5-10 extra a month. And, you don't pay a deductable on glass to have it replaced. Don't get a cheap glass, it won't last and it will have ripples in it. Get a PPG or similiar quality windshield. JMO
