need paret # for throttle linkage for '89 with 727

well my truck has the plastic ball end on my throttle rod, and the plsatic ends cracked . . so i went to the dealer and the ordered it and sent it to me, but... ... ... it is definately the wrong part .

the one in my truck is about 6" long, the one they sent me is over a foot and has a funky metal tube for a rod and its even bent. . maybe its a second gen one. . either way i nee dthe correct part . . yes i did try to just take the ends off of the new one but that don't thread on my old rod... any body have any ideas?
