Does anyone happen to know where I can get a straight clamp style adapter for the outlet of the cold side of the turbo? The one on the 92 up trucks have a 90 degree turn and I need one that goes straight. Do the early non-intercooled trucks use a straight one? Thankyou
They use a silicon hose. Just that. Nothing more. The turbo has a small flange as well as the cross over pipe. This flange helps prevent the hose from slipping/blowing off.
The non intercooled trucks do not have an adapter at all.
What exactly are you trying to do?
You can try these guys for parts -- email address removed -- I got a regular 90 deg adapter from them... without a part number initially. We just emailed back and forth a couple of times and got it worked out.
I am basically going to just run a crossover like the early non-intercooled first gens. I have already clocked the compressor housing but I don't want to use the 90 degree elbow I have. I just don't want the air to make two 90 degree turns until it gets to the manifold. I can't use an intercooler anymore b/c of all of the plumbing for various other items that is packed into where it used to be.
How about something like this off an industrial 5. 9. It has a 3 1/2" outlet. Same as 'Partsman's' crossover piece. I don't have any at the moment, but can try to find you one, or get a part number off one of the guys I sold two of them too.
