bud hubs

I bet you could find some one with a dually ft that wants to make it a single wheel. Most of the 4x4 guys want the single wheel hubs and would GLADLY trade the bud(dually) hubs for a set of single wheel hubs.

I have a friend with a dually ft end and if you would like I'll try and see if he would be interested in switching.

I know of a old fella that told me he made conversions of W250's to DRW because people were wanting them. He said he would take a 250 put adapters on the rear for the rims, cut and drill the bed and place the fenders on it and there you go, a 4x4 dually. He showed me pics and they looked good.

Kernel there are a couple of companys making adapter kits to put duals on a SRW axle assy.

Before you or anyone goes and buy's an adapter kit. Ask your insurance compony what their impression of using adapters to install dual wheels on a truck that duals was not orginal equipment on.

If you have ever seen the damage done when a truck throws a set of dualls off. Going with adapters would never be thought of agin. I have seen the results of one dually adpter kit that had broken. I have also seen the results of a impact wrench going bad at a tire shop. In a two day period I saw 5 trucks towed in with dualls laying in the bed. Throwing a set of dualls off at 60 MPH can be deadly.

I still don't know where that wheel, tire and split rim went on 80/94 Indiana/Illinois line, last I saw it was thrown about 30 feet in the air. This was on a rail container loaded with 44,000 lbs of 5. 9's, looked in my mirror, heard a huge BOOM!, and saw the thing in the air, made it to the railyard another 10 miles, boy was I shook up.
