Need Power / Love Warrantee

I need your advice folks. I just bought and 04 3500 to haul a new fifth wheel. It hauls okay but dogs up the hills. I want to add some horsepower without voiding my warrantee or substantially reducing the longevity of my motor.



Can you make any mods to the engine without voiding the warrantee? If so, what are they and what impact will they have on the wear and tear of the truck?



Any help would be great.

The Smarty programmer by Mad Electronics might be a good choice. I don't think it

has been released yet for the 3g trucks, but it is due out soon . Injectors are also

a good way to increase power without spooking the stealers.

Tons of posts on this topic throughout forum and to just sum them up;



1) Get a tuner like Edge Juice (or whatever). Most can be removed if you need to take it to the dealer but there’s that whole integrity thing that you will have to deal with.



2) Heat Kills! Do whatever you can to reduce it on intake/exhaust and everywhere else without spending an arm and a leg. You should get at least an EGT gauge which is included with some kits.



3) Don't go crazy and beat the heck out of your truck! Oo.



I just ordered the Edge Juice with Attitude after putting on an AFE stage II and MBRP cool duals. I never plan on going above setting III but you know that could easily change. I have an 04. 5 with 31k and I figure if I smoke my truck, shame on me!
