I need to know the wheelbase of a 1997 extended cab 4x4 with the 8ft. bed. I have found a deal on one and plan on making the 3 hour drive to pick it up Saturday. I REALLY want to make sure that the 16ft. trailer I'm taking with me will carry it... .

Also, anybody know the average weight of it?

Thanks in advance. .

hhmm. . thats just pushing the ragged edge of what my trailer is gonna be capable of. That only leaves 18-20 inches of "wiggle room" for adjusting for weight. hhmm... Speaking of weight... 7K is going to max out my trailer too...

Thanks for the info... it seemed that every web-site I went to gave me different #'s... Knew I could get the correct #'s here.

By the FSM the wheelbase is 154. 7" and the length is 244". I don't know the exact weight but NIsaacs is close.

Oops, 149" is the 1st. gen. ext. cab long bed. Gene is right on the 2nd. gen. Weight varies depending on options, 6500-7000 lbs. should be close.

16' trailer is probably too short and light duty.

Thanks to everybody that replied... . I ended up pulling a hauling a 35' dual tandem 385 miles for nothing. . Needless to say, it was NOT in the condition that was advertised.
