Need quick response: Oil Port/ports on top of filter???

Which port on top of the oil filter should I use for the supply on a Bypass oil filter system?? If I recall correctly, there are two on the third-gen trucks... . one towards the driver's side and one a few inches away towards the passenger side.



Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I put on a bypass filter on my 2004. 5 and I used the one on on the passenger side, but I think you can use either one. The passenger side pumps oil good.

Either one should work. Whatever is most convenient.

I'm assuming both ports have approximately equal pressure (i've never taken the top of this thing apart to tell... but it would be interesting to find out)... . ?
