These were posted before:

Rear driveshaft 2 Piece precision (takes 3) Precision #351

Front driveshaft Cardan H joint (takes 2) Precision #232

Front driveshaft @ front axle (takes 1) Precision #235

Front Axle U joints LEFT AND RIGHT (takes 2) #464

I have personally purchased the #351 joints at NAPA for my 03, 3500, 6 speed. They require a 'small' amount of grinding the yokes for assembly. These joints have performed well with no vibrations or other problems.

I have also read that the auto trucks need #295 joint in lieu of the #351, but cannot verify this.

Hope this helps,

Carl

I tried all of the parts listed above. None properly fit in my early (10/02) truck. Eventually, a shop crossed the OEM part to a Spicer 5-188X which fit without modification and is greasable. Set me back about $120 for all three installed (I R&R'ed the driveshaft).

bkaiser,

You tried all of them?

The 464 fits all dodges that have a 9. 25aam front axle. Keep in mind they are axle joints not driveshaft joints.

:)

I haven't changed the fronts yet. The center rear joint actually froze (truck was hopping!). When I finally threw in the towel and went to FleetPride, the truck was down two weeks. It just seemed odd to me that the listings at AutoZone, NAPA, Advance, Pep Boys, another local full line store and this site were the same, but none fit. The parts everyone said would fit only fit in the output of the transfer case and the input to the differential. The other four yokes - the ones on the drive shafts themselves, were too small to clear the cross. Grinding at least an 1/8" off of the crosses would have been necessary to get the parts to fit. Not cool in this mechanical engineers mind.

i have replaced both the front and rear u joint of the rear driveshaft with joints from advance auto. prob not the best but they are cheap and are easy to get ($18). plus they have a warrenty
