Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Need responses/advise

First, truck config is 1998. 5 3500 auto, 4x4, w/ISB.

Mods: DTT valve body, 275 injectors, and boost module, 4" exhaust and gauges.



I am planning on installing a power edge EZ.

Have any of you out there experienced any problems to the transmission with this set-up?

truck is a daily driver and I don't intend on romping on the go pedal, I do however intend on towing a 5th wheel 32 ft. wt. is around 12-14k.

Any one that has this set-up please or anyone that can offer knowledge on this set-up I would really appreciate a bit of input here, just don't want to damage things unnecessarily.

I see you have the DTT VB. I would think just an EZ would be fine. The problem is you won't be able to stop there. Chime in guys, am I right?



As you add more power later, build on you transmission modifications accordingly.

With a trailer that heavy, I suspect an EZ box may just put the transmission over the top. Be careful.

I had the same set up in a stock trans with the line pressure turned up, did not last long. if you have 4. 10 rear gears that will help so will a deep pan like a mag teck it will run 20+ cooler.
