Need some advice

Hey family. Looking to have some advice.

Truck has 221k on it. It was studded at 97k. I've been getting some bubbling in my over flow but it doesn't happen all the time!! It's random and depends on how hard I drive my truck. With that said, could be looking at a head gasket soon so I'm wondering on some mods that I could do should do while that far in.

With the head gasket needing to be done I figure springs and rods as well. Front timing cover is leaking and needs fixed so figure I can do camshaft (thinking Hamilton tow) and tappets and maybe fluidamper. Oil pan needs a gasket and the rear main needs looked at so figured get that all done as well.

My question is what size Injectors/cp3 can I run with an s465? Truck sees daily driving and almost always 500-1000 lbs of furniture in the bed daily. Need something street able and not ridiculous.

Looking at a $20k budget for parts and labor.

I'd say keep it stock if you've made it 220k so far doing what you're doing with it

Ha ha ha ha.....an eco diesel or any half ton is capable of the above.
Before I’d dump $20k in a 10 year old truck......I’d certainly trade it in as-is and buy something different.

Thats where I am at. Do i spend the 20k and keep the truck another 10-15 years? I'm only 33 so this wont be my last truck but with truck prices these days new or used, almost makes more sense to spend the money and build the truck then go buy new. I'm 3600 away from paid off as well and that's another thing. I am looking forward to no truck payments lol.

Check nada on a trade. If you are not working it then now is the time let it go. Lots of half ton gasser's used and new.
You will sleep better and that's priceless. Life is short.

I was thinking that as well. Been looking at some of the diesel vans out there like what amazon and fedex use. Those would be as practical as this truck and still be able to use for trips and such with the wife and cat. Hard to give up a truck bed though. so flexible lol.

Agreed....tow an enclosed trailer with an open pickup, or open utility trailer with an enclosed van. To further complicate your thinking, I once put my little utility trailer (essentially an old compact pickup box) inside a Transit 350 van.
