Need some backup on Jacobs/Cummins parts before I spend $$

I tried to find a correct "Jacobs" wiring diagram on line and couldn't. The Jacobs toggle switch hooks up different than the Pacbrake does. I DID read where guys used the TOGGLE switch and just used it to turn the brake electrical on BUT not activate the brake, then used the BD switch to interrupt the circuit to the vacuum solenoid while the BD push pull switch was down and the BD switch completed the circuit when pulled up to activate the vacuum solenoid and activate the brake. If you can post or email me the circuit drawing for YOUR brake, I should be able figure it out.

I saw that diagram and there is where I noticed that the switch JACOBS uses seems to do more functions that just a single pole ON-OFF switch. One symbol on the switch looks to be a diode. I understood that there is a light on the switch? Can you just switch the green and yellow?

It confused me when I installed the brake back in '08. I only wanted a dash mount on-off switch. Figured it out after a bit, one hot and ground are simply for the green brake active indicator light on the push pull switch. I did not use the red and black wires on my switch.

Saw your edit, yes green and yellow are all that's needed.

M Wlson thank you for the information. The rocker switch I have has 3 wires coming out of it and goes into a harness..

Whats does that Cummins paper on the tail gate say?? Does that have the schematic for the new switch in it??? I see the corner of the word "Switch" I think.....

The document is titled "Jacobs Retrofit Dash Switch"

for 2003 through 2007 Dodge Ram Trucks with the Cummins 5.9 ISB 5.9 engine"

At the bottom left of the cover page there is a REF # of 32414 on the right lower cover page in bold is a number 37522A K6860426.

The document is generic and does not break down the wiring diagram into something that is down at the level we need, only directions to hook into the ECM at certain pin locations with the wires that go through the firewall.
This document is prepared almost entirely without words, it uses "pictures" of procedures. It displays removal instructions for the switch I want, and replacement procedures for retrofitting this switch, or installing this switch as a new product.

I am reading the hieroglyphics without the switch assembly to refer to, but here is my interpretation of the operation of the rocker style switch.

The Yellow wire in the harness from the switch appears to go to position #39 on the ECM 50 Pin connector "B".

The red and black wires in the harness from the switch go to the Exhaust brake red and yellow wires.
There is s second black wire shown with a ring terminal attached that stays in the cab and is attached to ground.
So now I need to know how to wire a push pull into this system If I can find an actual Cummins switch or use something else.....I think..will check back later...thanks guys for all the help.

Lay that harness out so we can see it...What color wires are going into the black plug at the harness end???

And then on the truck harness side of that black plug what wire colors are there?? In other words do the wire colors for the trucks Jake harness match the wiring schematic that I posted on Page 2 of this thread?? Never mind the switch harness for now.....

Okay, we have the 18 plus inches of rain under control, I had a chance to look at the harness.

From the aforementioned switch out..

The switch, with the black/white trace, red, and blue wires plugs into the harness, there is a relay holder, for lack of a better description, it has yellow, black and blue and brown wires going in to it. The yellow, red, and black wires goes out to the truck, the blue wire runs between the switch and the relay holder. The black wire and the
brown wire from the relay holder are terminated at a grounding eyelet.

If you fellows need any more pics please let me know. I am becoming more and more convinced that this can be done.
I can't believe I am the first guy with an truck who has found this "headlight switch" in his Jake exhaust brake kit, and decided to do something about it.

About to order the push-pull from BD and see if my buddy who is going to install the brake can get it to work with my kit. I'm out of ideas and need the brake. With the weather coming in again the BD will be here about the time things clear up so we will give it a go. I will report back.
I can't believe that one of the aftermarket sources hasn't jumped in with a rattle-free solution for the people who have a manual truck and want a shifter mounted switch. I emailed Geno's maybe they will come up with something in the future...
