Onan 2500 Microlite LP...where to buy?

lately, when i'm towing my gooseneck, whenever i brake or gear down at low speed, i 'm hearing a creaking noise, like something is shifting around under there that should'nt be. 2001. 5 3500, 6 speed. the sound is definitely coming from under the truck and not from looseness in the hitch. all of our trailers have double walled gooses and holding pins to keep the hitch stable. if anyone has heard or seen a post about this, please let me know. i've got alot of miles to put in this summer... ... ... ...

Not sure what you mean by this packman. The standard goose hitch is a tube within a tube for height adjustment with two bolts holding it. If that is what you have, you might want to drop the hitch out for a good cleaning and examination. I would also clean the ball and mounting hardware up with a pressure washer and some degreaser as required. Examine for cracks best you can, check all the bolts including the ball. You may want to pull the ball and examine closely. You do keep the ball well greased?

Once you are sure it is not in the hitch, like bmoeller suggested, spring hangers, shocks, ujoint, carrier bearing, only so much there, just takes time.

Seeing you have multiple rigs, try swapping one or the other out. Maybe have someone ride in the bed around a lot since your hearing it at low speed. Maybe they can get a fix on it.

good ideas, thanks i'll check the truck's springs first. i've noticed that the rear end seems to be squatting a little more than i noticed when we first got it. but that's just a common fact that springs wear and fatigue, even with the helper spring on our 2001. 5 and above duallys. i remember i knew to check out the rear springs on one of our older trucks when streetlights would go out, when you passed them while towing, not to mention towing in the fog , and seeing your headlights pointing towards the sky more than the road... ;)
