Competition Need Some Help

It looks like I stuck my foot in my mouth and will be running the truck pull at the next Heritage Weekend Festival. This pull is a whole year away but I need to get some input from some of you pullers.



I'm wanting to get a 8,000lb open class going next year. This will be on top of the 2 street classes we already run, 6,200lb and a 7,500lb street leagal. The open class will be "Run what ya brung" anything you want to do, hanging weights, drugs (in the truck), unlimited turbo, just what every you want to run.



My question is would many of you be willing to travel to Southern Indiana to attend this pull? The date is the second full weekend in September. The town is Lanesville, IN, about 20 minutes North of Louisville, KY.



I'm just trying to get a ruff # of truck to give the the Heritage Board. If I can get at least 8 it would be great.

I went to see "Stroke this 24V" pull a couple weekends back at the Lanesville Heritage days. I was expecting a little rinky dink fair type thing, and when I get there I just thinking "WOW"

there is people everywhere!! People charging to park in their front yards, about 200 different tractors on display a flea market, food! all types of stuff going on, like a big party in this little town!

And police having to direct traffic!

Anyhow, I had a great time and the Pulls were awesome!

But, next year Darrell needs some heavy hitting 8000lb open class pullers to show up and display some Cummins Power!

I'm trying like He!! to get the big boys down here to pull. The crowds love the smoke and the high HP. The guy that ran the pull for the past couple of years doesn't no I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER about trucks and really doesn't care to even mess with them. If I get the OK from the board I'm going to get in touch with the Mitchell's and see if they have a pull that weekend or not. I would really like to show up the tractors on Saturday night.
