Need some recommendations

Thinking about getting a new truck. Should I buy a used Mega Cab or wait till the 2010's arrive and buy a new crew cab. Could really use a bigger back seat. Third choice would be to bomb my truck. right now leaning toward a used 07. 5 mega cab with really low miles. Are there any issues with the early 6. 7's that cant be fixed with programing?

Do you tow heavy or would a Mega cab be good enough on the tow rating and the short bed not an issue?. .

Look at my thread, "here I am another 3rd genner" and there is a pic of the weight ratings for all the models except for the new 2010.

Bigger back seat and model of truck = . . bed length for towing or not. . and weight capacity.

How heavy are you planning on towing if any? I tow a 5er with a slider hitch and my GCVW is 17,000LBS. This is scaled weight on a CAT scale. The 5er GVW is 11K but I never tow the trailer this heavy. The trailer's normal weight is 8. 5 to 9k and the truck with fuel and my DW is 8. 5K.

So what I am saying is a 2500HD Mega Cab will pull a 5er just not a monster.

Dont tow that heavy maybe 11k max mostly around 8 to 9k. bed length is not an issue a slider hitch would work If I needed too.

Are there any issues with the early 6. 7s?

The Mega cab should still be available in the 2010 by the info I have seen... .
