Hey all, I think my radio/head unit that controls my Alpine CD changer has died.

the radio works fine, but I can't seem to access the changer. Does anyone have a stock

radio sitting around that they would like to sell? Please let me know. Hate listening to

the radio all of the time.

Thanks

I've had a few problems with mine, which is the infinity unit and the alpine changer. It uses an adapter or convertor which allows the head unit to "talk" to the changer. Sometimes these adapters go bad,or just need to be re-intialized. When mine goes out,I have to pull the radio and disconnect everything for 10-15 mins. Then reconnect the radio, but don't connect the changer or adapter, and tune it to an FM station. Now turn the radio off, connect the changer and adapter, and turn it back on. Select the CD and it should now work. If not, repeat above until it does,as it sometimes takes several tries to get them to communicate. If it still doesn't work, see if a stereo shop will let you try another adapter.
