Good luck! I had the same problem when I got my last set of tires. One had too much runout to balance the wheel. Since then I heard that many people have had the same problem with the chrome wheels. I called all over looking for a used one but was unable to find one and ended up buying a new one from the dealer. With tax, slightly over $400. I hope you have better luck than I did.
I don't want to tell you your business, but I don't think I would post a personal phone number out here in a publicly viewable thread if it were me. Quite a few wackos out there in Cyberspace.
Also does anyone know the difference if any between the '96 & '95 stock chrome steel wheels? My spare rim is the ugly old plain jane steel rim. DC was too Dang cheap to provide me a decent spare wheel in '95!
I have 4 96 model stock rims, but i have a horror story that goes with them. My tire dealer called me back into the shop the last time i bought new tires. He said he could do something about balancing the tires but could not do anything about the wobble
wthat was in the rims. So i took my truck back to where i bought it , the service manager told me that they had a problem with all the 96 chrome rims. After going thru 12 rims we found 4 that in his words were acceptable. But I was not satisfied , with that, so I put new after market rims on my truck. I run over 600. 00 tires so i wanted better rims.
