Hey guys. Here's my dilema. I have four Michelin LTX 245/75/R16's on the rearend of my truck.

I also have 350+ HP trying to escape through these tires.

My driving personality is rather "quick" I have a bunch of "Piers" in me. LOL Ya know,, the Donuts, the Burnouts and everything else.

I am wearing these $120 Michelins out way to fast,,, They are allready unsafe.

I can't afford four new $120 Michelins.

I need four new tires that Are... .

(In this order of importance)

1. Low in price.

2. Load rated enough for my truck.

3. Give off ALOT Of White smoke when doing burnouts.

4. Are Very "Noisy" (Which means the "chirp" or "squeel" very loudly when spun. )

I will not be getting 10,000 miles out of ANY tire I put on the rear of my truck. (I drive less than 12K a year)

Any info would be appreciated.

I am looking for a tire size that is no Taller than a 245/75 tire.

I can go smaller as long as they don't look like bycicle tires.

TIA,

Merrick, this sounds like a no win situation. Sounds like you need a tire donation fund. Especially since you're killing 4 at a time.

D0 you have Discount Tire in Laredo?

I take it the new SBC is not helping this scenario either.

Fred, thanks for the reply.

There isn't a Discount Tire here in Laredo, but in San Antonio there is one (~120 miles).

That MU 0090 Con OFE SBC is a very good clutch.

It's holding almost everything my insane membrane and heavy right foot can give it.

I've only slipped it twice so far.

Once when it had less than 10 miles on it. (Kept my foot SLIGHTLY resting on the clutch pedal)

Second When I was doing a 3rd gear launch at 3,000RPM. (again, SLIGHTLY on the clutch pedal) I now just lift my foot comletely off the pedal. If I'm pressing the pedal 1. 5" down when doing a "Burnout" the clutch will slip. If I completely pull my foot off the pedal, the engine will die first before the clutch slips.

I powershifted it for the first time today. Slips just a tad from 3rd to 4th maybe 1/8th second. (WOT PE COMP 5/5 DD1's)

This clutch has maybe 100 miles on it,, so I feel it's going to be one good clutch once it really seats. Unless I slip it into oblivion right now.

-----------------------------------

I'm looking for tires in the $80 range,, and if anybody has experiance, maybe from hotrodding years what tires are the "smokiest".

Thanks,

MerrickNJr
