Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) need to check fuel pressure, need tool

I need to check the fuel pressure. How much is the tool and where can I get one, I know you need the miller spx adapters. would it be cheaper/same just to purchase a fuel gauge kit (about $160. 00) or would the tool/adapters be cheaper. going to be a one time use tool.

if you are handy you could probably build a tester using a cheapo oil pressure gauge kit for around $30, you may need to scrounge around to find a fitting to fit the top of the banjo bolt on top of the filter, i work in a salvage yard so i just found another banjo bolt and drilled/tapped it so i could keep my stock bolt with it's bleeder incase of a problem with the gauge on the road i could put it back in, so i never checked what kind of thread the bleed screw had

I used a FI fuel pressure tester I already had, and just tapped the banjo bolt going into the injection pump.



You will need a needle valve to keep the gage from pulsing too bad to read tho.

TST offers a fitting that replaces the bleeder screw and accepts a 1/8 NPT to 1/8" line fitting. Then you can use your boost line, etc. to check pressure.

I also just tapped the banjo bolt going into the injection pump to 1/8" pipe, bought a fuel snubber from Diesel Innovations and used a reguler oil press gauge.

will check on cost of banjo bolt and try to tap. can you reuse the gaskets? looking for tst bleeder screw, does that go on the filter?
