Need To Install Muffler, Neighbors Complaining

Need Suggestions for a muffler that will not effect my performence, and maybe rumble a little . My neighbors are not too happy with me when I take off fishing at 5am.

I put a turn down tip on my truck and now the sound don't bounce off the house when I leave for work in the morning.

The Walker (P/N 21468) is a "straight - thru" perforated core design that has a 3" inlet & outlet. It holds up well under Cummins use and is the muffler supplied w/ the JRE kits (& others) for our trucks. This is also the muffler that Joe Donnelly has recommended (along w/ it's 4" brother) in past post and it works well on our trucks. Great quality sound w/o the mid-range boom that my truck possessed while being straight-piped for a day.



Napa carries them for approx. $60. 00 - $70. 00.



Other's have also used Dynomax Mufflers w/ good results but I have no personal experience with this muffler. We're a (2) Walker family!

I don't think that my neighbors give a darn about it, if they do, I haven't herd. I must admit that sometimes I probably get a little out of hand when I take off in the afternoon sometimes like a bat out of hell! However I am good about keeping it quiet when the lights are out. Oh well some neighbors are better than others, I think that deep down that they can't resist that straight-piped, chrome stacked, decible makin',black smokin',tire spinin' earth shakin' Cummins Turbo Diesel!



P. S. I think that even the local Jonny Law likes it, I've never even been stopped.

I've got the Dynomax 4" bullet style muffler(3" in&out). It's basically a big glass pack but it took the edge off enough to keep the wife from complaining about me leaving for work at 6am while she was trying to sleep. Best part was it only cost $45 from Summit Racing shipped to my door.



BTW I'll be in your neck of the woods the weekend of June 30 for brother-in-laws wedding reception. Maybe I'll be able to catch you at home to look at your beast.

Just put on the new Walker Muffler, boy what a difference. My boost pressures are the same and the truck sounds great. Thanks for the help.
