I am new to the TDR, but not new to the CTD. I am on my 3rd Dodge and have already made some mods to this one. I left my other 2 stock, but those days are over. Especially after I found this website. You can see my truck profile to see what I am currently running. My question is what is a safe range to run regarding my EGTs, transmission temp, etc? Can someone please educate me?

Thanks in advance!

Mine running stock and empty at wot it's hard to hit 1250 preturbo. I would say 1200 is a safe high point when towing, but lower is alwayse better so. If i load the smarty, running empty at wot i can bury my guage 1500+ that is not safe for extended periods.

The 3rd gens can take more heat than a 2nd gen..... they have better cooling ports in the head & block around the piston chambers. My brother has a 04. 5 & runs 1400 preturbo daily with no issues towing. I've read bulletins that say the 3rd gens can run 1500 all day long, but I wouldn't do that.
