2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Need to know which tire sizes are availiable in the ECM.

Want to see if I can fool the ECM by changing the axle ratio to 3. 55 and telling the computer that I have small tires. For those with 4. 10's and 315's this might work but I have to know what tire sizes are availiable in the computer to chose from. Then I can do the math and see if it computes out. If you have this infothen please let me know. Also, where is that website that has a calculator for computing out rpm and such. Thanks

ECM not only thing

I've been trouble shooting a problem with ABS light staying on. I have the shop manual and it states the CAB(controller Antilock Brake) needs to be programed to number of revolutions per mile your tires turn if CAB is replaced, So I would think if tire diameter is changed, CAB needs reprogramming.

I have read a few posts in the past and members have mentioned that the dodge computer can only be programmed for certain tire sizes. Ask the local sevice writer to find out if it's true. If that is the case, try www.atrol.com or Superlift. They both make boxes that will recalibrate your computer for larger(or smaller) tires. You might have more luck with them.

Thanks for the replies. I already know about the calibration boxes but want to save some money. So does this mean that no one knows what tire sizes are availiable in the ECM. I did manage to find a pamphlet that list the pressure for the 225, 245, and 265 size tires. Hopefully this isn't the only three sizes that can be chosen as I really need to be able to set the ECM for 235 to get the closest. Maybe I need to step up to the plate and get the speedo calibration box. Will these boxes work with 37" tires?
