I'm at abot 300 horse and my stock clutch is going. I need imput on what clutch to use. Is there a bigger fly wheel clutch combo that I need. I personaly don't believe I need a double clutch but need something that will hold about 400 horse.

What have you done and are you happy with the changes.

Your help is appreciated. I'm taking about a 3000 mile trip soon and need to fix it.

I have the same truck as yours, with hotter BOMBs. I have had Peter's Con 01 FE clutch in since May 2001, and about 45K miles now. I have made a few passes down the 1/4 mile, but I don't sled pull. I have also made a few dyno runs, the most recent in January 2003 laying down 439 HP / 857 #'s TQ. Peter's clutch has never slipped once. Since you said you don't want a dual disc clutch, I would highly recommend the Con FE. The OFE is rated at more than enough HP than you have right now, but my own personal BOMBing philosophy is do it right the first time so you won't need to do it over again - by which I mean that even though today you are where you are BOMB wise, next year the disease (BOMBitis) may progress and you may be forced to buy larger injectors, bigger turbo, higher end fueling box... ... and you may eventually outgrow the OFE. I don't know the price difference between OFE and FE.

If you plan to just stay around 400 hp, then the ConOFE is the clutch for you. I have had problems with the FE & towing. The FE is 100% Ferrite composition. This can create alot of "dust" in the bellhousing area. My problem was with all that dust, my Pilot Bearing seized causing extremely hard shifting from Neutral.

Peter took good care of me, a new Pilot bearing, & a replacement FE disk & pressure plate. I thought if I went with the FE rite off the bat, I wouldnt have to pull the transmission apart again down the rode, but in fact, I did anyways.

Call & talk to Peter, he is a very nice fellow & will advise you what you need. There are alot of customers on this BBS that will back up his product. His Customer service is beyond exemplary.
