I have looked everywhere for a rebuild/overhaul kit for my A727 transmission with no luck at all.
I want to attempt this job myself because I do have good mechanical abilities and have done some valve body work in the past and feel confident enough, but I'm willing to expand my horizons a bit by doing the whole shootin' match! Would prefer a kit with heavier duty bands and clutches if possible.
While doing the rebuild, I want to purchase a lower stall speed converter than whats on there now (1775 RPM). I did see the part number listed for the heavy duty flexplate on here somewhere and was wondering if the '95 flexplate Cummins#3946161 will work on this application. Also I'd like to replace the steel cooler lines while she's down.
Tried looking in the advertisers web pages and nothing listed for the 727 as far as rebuild/overhaul kits for the do-it-yourselfer.
I can find stuff all day long for the 47RH/RE,48RH/RE but nothing for my lowly old 727
I am at stock power levels now and plan to keep her there for a good while. Any help at all would be fantastic.
My '89, she's been good to me and I want to take care of her.
