What is the best turbo?

I have a 2004. 5 4x4 dodge turbo diesel with the 325/600 engine, 3. 73 rear gearing , 4" flow through exhaust, AFE air filter kit, Edge juice with the Attitude Monitor, stage V ATS auto trans along with the triplelok converter and the triplelok commander Ver2. 1.

The question is what is my next step to increase the horsepower?. I'm looking for no more then 500 horses at the rear wheel and I do'nt want twin turbos perhaps a first step is needed such as no more then 425 horses?.

Do I(and what type) purchase a turbo and doe's it need injectors and a fuel pump to help increase the horses?. The truck is a daily driver with some towing.

What do the cm sizes mean about the turbo. Thanks for your input.

A B1-2-04 will work very well for you. Some had run these turbo's over 500 HP. It is a direct bolt on. Cost might be a little higher than some, but it a proven turbo.

As long as were here what about a 94 I'm looking at millage and reliability, towin 7,000lbs , I will try to stop mods at 300-350hp maybe 400hp oops there I go.

Propane---its cheaper than the diesel and burns cleaner as well :) I used the ATS system (adds about 8% to the burn) on my last truck and it really woke it up!

Bellyscraper,

My truck is pretty much identical to yours w/the excpetion of a 6spd. Im runnin the ht b2 12cm. Its rated up to 500 horses. Spools up nicely and helps a bunch with keeping temps down, plus it sounds awesome. It only adds maybe 15 or 20 horses but allows you to burn more fuel to make more horsepower, that is if you can supply more fuel.

How does a SUPER B compare to a B1-2

I am looking for something for my 03

If you are talking about the BD Super B, it will not flow the air or cool or support the HP that a B1-2-04 will. You would be better off going to the HTB2, but I would try and get the 14cm housing on it instead of the 12cm housing. My $. 02.
