I am going to put in a pressure port into the transmission crossover line in addition to the port that comes with the replacement line (that port will have a temp sensor in it)
1. The crossover line to the water heat exchanger for the replacement DC line with the rubber short piece and the one way check valve. I THINK that it is a -8 AN at the crossover end by the rubber extension piece? What is it at the water heat exchanger end? -8AN? Summit has a -8 AN / -8 AN port that would work fine, but is -8 AN / -8 AN RIGHT? I know that I will still need to extend the sensor adapter about 3 " to make up the difference in total length.
I want to put in a temp sensor into the engine oil system. I am going to put in a pressure sensor at the top of the oil filter where the 1/8 NPT plug is. I am thinking about putting in a port in the turbine oil cooler line and putting a temp sensor in there.
2. What kind of fitting is at the oil filter end of the turbine oil cooler line? What kind of thread is the thread that is in the filter housing itself that goes to the fitting of the braided turbo cooler line? What kind of thread is the thread at the turbine end of the turbo oil cooler line at the end of the braided oil cooler line? Summit has a -8 AN / -8 AN with a port and also a -6 AN / -6 AN with a port if either of these would work. Is there a better place to get engine oil temp that has a good flow at the sensor location? I know engine oil temp will be within 20 degrees of engine water temp, but I still want to measure it anyway to compare what the DC panel gauges read.
Thanks, and Merry Christmas to ALL
