I have an 03 4x dually with the HO/auto and 3:73's. I added the Banks exhaust after buying it.
It does ok, but I would like to keep it from shifting down to 3rd on the smaller hills or driving into a headwind. (towing or carrying a camper)
I am looking for reliability and longevity so nothing to radical. I had the AFE intake system on but removed it as I heard it didn't filter as well as the stock system and the stock flowed plenty of air.
I'm thinking of maybe 50-75 hp and 150 ft/lbs if I can do it safely.
I've considered the edge and Banks. Prefer to not have to worry about setting of codes or any other problems.
What are some of your recommendations?
I also assume upgrading the trans wouldn't help as it is in lockup when towing. Would doing the TQ and Valve Body make any difference.
