Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Needing To Adjust Valves?

My 1999 2500 Has 190,000 Miles On It And I Was Woundering If It Would Be A Good Thing To Check And Re Adjust The Vaves? And Is There Anything Else I Sould Do For The Mileage Its Got On It

It probably wouldn't hurt to adjust the valves, I did mine for the first time at 210k. Really didn't notice any difference in power or mileage but the clattering from the engine did quiet down a lot after the valve adjustment.



The first thing I'd do is get a fuel pressure gauge before you do anything else. I had to learn the hard way.

On the 24 valves it is recommende that they be adjusted every 100,000 miles so at 190,000 it is way over due. You also need to put in a full set of gauges consisting of fuel,boost,pyro,and transmission if it is a automatic... ... ... Oo. Oo. Oo.
