Looks like someone wanted to disconnect the grid heater and not have loose wires. It’s safe, secure, and not functional with the supply line just moved to the negative post.

Yes, I think you may be correct. I'm going to switch it today and give it a try. I'll let you know what happens. Unless of course, it blows me sky high.
 
So that takes care of another self-inflicted problem. Yes, it was me. Evidently, when I had the batteries out replacing the shocks I saw that green cable and decided it was a ground and hooked it up accordingly. That was last summer so I didn't have any issues until it cooled off and the grid heater didn't work and produced DTC P2609, "no voltage to the grid heater" which stands to reason since it wasn't hooked up to the battery correctly.

Once again TDR members have saved my butt. Thanks for all the help.
