Neighbor Freaks Out

Last night I was out in the driveway messing around with my truck when my neighbor across the street drives up in his 03 CTD. He gets out "grinning", an see's me and ask now what are you looking at on your truck. Some times giving me a hard time about checking things out on the Cummins. I said just checking things out, looking etc. I said have you been checking on that alternator bracket I told you about a few months ago that can develop a crack. His reply was "no" have'nt had time, but to work an run my kids around from place to place. We walked over an popped the hood an low an be hold bracket was broke completely into an holding on by the bottom bolt. :-laf I wish you could have seen his face. I discovered a hair line crack in mine "finally" a little over a month ago an had DC replace with the stronger bracket, I would have not seen it if the light had not been just right. So my advise to others would be check that bracket an not end up like my neighbor with that "wild eyed" "freaked out look". :-laf Check out the TSB's for the 03's on the TDR.
