I don't have cats BUT this is neat.....

Now that duck season is over I am overdue to seal the leaky seams on both pairs of my 5mm neoprene waders. I have had poor results using the aquaseal product that I purchased for this application. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. At around $300 to replace each pair I would like to get a few more seasons out of my waders if possible so if anyone has used a seam sealing product with good results I would like to know.

It may not be a "good" repair, but on my cheap neoprene waders I have used RTV for small holes. Not sure you would want to goop it all over your seams though.

Get some Seam Grip from a camping store. Best stuff I have found to repair stuff like this. here is a link

ODT_SeamGrip

I have used it to repair all kinds of stuff, its durable but does not dry out and crack and is water proof. I have yet to find something that it did not work with.

I use it to water proof the seams on my backpacks and tents so I know that it works great for sealing seams.

Hope this helps

Where did you get the waders? Cabelas will take returns for defects. I would consider leaky seams a defect. Of course, if they're more than a year or two old it would be taking advantage of a good thing. I have used "Goop" with some success. I used the Marine version.

Thanks for the replies. The waders were top of the line from Cabelas, but they are over ten years old! This is more of a testament to their great quality than anything else. As it hasn't really been a banner year for the money tree in my neck of the woods I was just looking to avoid having to antie up for new waders altogether. I'll try out some sample areas w/ the seam grip and the goop. Thanks.
