What is the best place to order steps and or nerf bars online.

I did a lot of online shopping around to figure out what I wanted. I had something in mind but didn't even know it existed until I found it. What I wanted was heavy duty nerf bars with steps under each door of my Quad Cab plus some steps just forward of the rear wheel because the bed on the 4x4 is so tall.



It turns out, what I wanted was wheel-to-wheel step bars. Both Westin and Go Rhino offer this style. The standard, under-cab only bars can be shipped via UPS, however, the larger wheel-to-wheel style must be truck shipped at considerably more cost and someone must be available to receive them. This fact prompted be to shop locally rather than buy online.



I tried for Westin first because their quality seems top notch, but the guys at the authorized dealer here never returned any of my phone calls, making it impossible to order. So I bought the Go Rhino Sumatra Series bars from the 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers here in L. V. They said it takes the manufacture a week to make them and another week for shipping. It's 13 days and no word yet, but expect their estimate is optimistic. No hurry, no worries.



So the moral of the story is, online is helpful for figuring out what you want and pricing but it's not always best for buying.

Funny, I don't remember who I ordered my Westins from. I got the Platinum Series, chrome plated Stainless Steel. They're great!

This place has a good selection of stainless nerf bars at a good price. I just ordered a set for my 2002 Trailblazer.
