Neste Renewable R99 Diesel

There is one older closed thread mentioning this fuel, but nothing recent I could find.

I found a station locally (well 30 miles) that sells this along with a number of other fuels (racing fuels, non ethanol, etc.). It was less cost than biodiesel and $0.06 a gallon more than regular ULSD.

So, what the heck, I put 22 gallons in so about 2/3 of a tank and will see how it goes. Allegedly the cetane is 70+ on this, so far so good with 30 miles, haha. I suppose I should mention 2nd gen 24V with 334K miles.

Ditto here. It's all over San Diego. I've run 1000's of miles with it. Same mpg,much cleaner running and priced the same.

I’ve been using it since my truck was new. A newer local Union 76 station carries it. I’ve seen some Cheveron station carrying it now with labeling of 80% renewable mixed with biodeisel.

I don't mess with Chevron's blend. I just filled up with dino diesel from a Shell here though and my overhead is stating a 5 mpg drop. Same station I used two weeks ago. I checked the water filter and everything's Kosher. Somebody robbed the btu's I guess. I put a stong dose of Power Service in it and will run it to 1/8th tank. First time in 23 years of diesels to experience this. Hopefully,it's just the overhead messing up It runs great.

I had this once in Wyoming a couple years ago, filled up at a Love's Truck Stop and from there it run bad, loss of power, more smoke, just bad - but the fuel looked great in the screen.
Next truckstop I bought a can of Powerservice, dropped it in and within a couple miles it cleared up to normal behavior.
