Netscape 6.2

I just recently down loaded Netscape 6. 2 and I was wondering if anyone here might be able to solve a couple of problems.



1. Everytime I get onto the internet and click on the Netscape icon, a box comes up stating, (Netscape 6 is not currently set as your default browser, would you like to make it your default browser). I click the Yes box everytime, but the next time it will ask the same question.



2. I cannot get Netscape to play a sound when I have new mail. In preferences, the Play Sound box is checked. A sound has been assigned to the New Mail Notification, in the control panel, in the sounds file.



I am also having problems posting this, letters are showing up ahead of what I am typing, I have never had this happen. I hope this post comes out the way it is suppose to.



Any help would be appreciated, but keep it simple.

As far as I can tell Netscape 6. x is a complete rewrite. It still has a lot of problems. I'm going to wait for the next version before I try it again. I like a lot of things I've seen so far, but it's still too buggy for me.

I uninstalled it this morning. I went back to Netscape 4. 7 again.
