Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) neutral safety switch question

I had these same symptoms before replacing the the hydo/clutch assy so I think it’s the neutral safety switch. (thingie that the clutch/pigtail plugs in I have to pretty much stand on the clutch and at times it takes up to 4 attempts to get it to start. Have full juice. Starter good contacts good. Only thing I can think of is the safety switch. I looked them up and they are like 50-60 bucks is there a cheaper source for this. 2002 6 speed

The switch on my 03 is adjustable. I had a similar problem when I had my clutch replaced and I crawled under there and fiddled with it till I got the threads loosened. Now it works great.
