Anyone heard about this one, Nevadans or other? Nevadas very own version of the IRS.

Glad your state high court thinks your constitution is a worthless piece of paper ... . gees that sucks big time, laws from the bench will be our down fall !!!!

Been hearing about it the last 2 days all over the radio stations!!:-{} #@$%!

It gets better. The Nevada Supreme Court tried to over-ride the 2/3 vote needed by legislature to increase taxes. They voted to reduce the requirement to a simple majority.



Of course we voted in the 2/3 so they couldn't put the taxation screws to us as easily.



Someone took their ruling to the Federal Supreme Court, who said, "You can't change what the people wanted. It stands @ 2/3. "



So, they are back trying to decide how to balance the budget. I understand there is more than a couple states trying to balance the budget & this is getting some real close attention by all the states. Precedence could be set by the state of Nevada ! :-laf

Local paper ran a story this morning saying the head of CA schools was going to file suit to have the CA judicial do the same thing based on Nevada's ruling that the legislature primary job is to fund education. Glad to hear the SCOUS(?) over-ruled Nevada.

All 7 are elected for 6 year terms.
