GREAT looking CTD's in Nevada!!!!! ... and LOTS of them too!!!!



My wife and I drove to San Fransisco and back last week from Northern Utah. We traveled I-80 and stayed the night in Winnemucca. Everywhere we looked there were Cummins Turbo Diesels and they looked GREAT !!! Great representation !!!! Thanks for making us look good!!

In Vegas, the CTD is the diesel of choice. There are at 4 people where I work that have them and countless othere Dodge gassers.

Here in Reno, I swear that ever other diesel pickup on the road is a Dodge... or probably more like two out of every three. Then of course there are the F*rds, but the population of the Durawhacks are growing too.



There's a guy who lives on my street three houses down with a dark red 2001/2002 3500... and at least a half dozen more within a half mile of me. I constantly hear diesel trucks going through the neighborhood, and the vast majority are all Cummins powered.

On the way back home from Eagle Lake recently there were five CTD's at the Boom Town pumps.

and when I do finally get around to painting my wagon... I'm going to take lessons from the Nevada TDR members! VERY nice looking rigs!



Sageair, One of the CTD rigs in Winne had a transverse 4-wheeler rack (from bed rail to bed rail). Do you know this guy? ... and where he got his Quad rack?? I'd be interested in knowing. I sat pool-side at the Economy Inn watching the CTD's drive by rather than watch the pool happenings - priorities. I saw the truck with the rack twice, but was never close enough to ask him to pull over and inquire about the rack.

Yes he is my stepson. His name is Jeff Garijo and he sells those racks at Browns True Value Hardware in Winnemucca. (775)623-2543. They are a really slick setup,hope that helps.

I've seen others like this but his looked lighter weight, less gaudy, and very functional. From what I could see, I was impressed. I'm assuming that the ramps fold up and slide in the bed when in transit and that you drive up one side, transport, then move the ramps to the other side to drive off.



I'll give him a call one of these next few evenings.



I'm going Elk Hunting (Archery) in north-central Wyo this coming weekend... would have been nice to have a cross-ramp before then. My tail gate ramps will do for the time being - just much less room to store stuff in the truck bed.

Glad I could help,the ramps actually store right in the unit not seperately and they are 12 ft long not the six thatyou would imagine. Its a very slick setup. If you would like I can take several pictures and e-mail them to you.

That sounds great! A few pics would be most excellent. No rush, but that would be fantastic. Folding into themselves sounds GREAT and 12 ft ramps even better - safer for my kids and wife to load and unload the quads. Sounds like a pretty well thought out set-up! I'm excited!



Last night, I told my wife that I found out who the guy in Winne was with the quad rack and she about fell over... "How the HE&@... " was her response. When I told her the TDR she calmed down a little, but she's still in awe that I was able to find out more about the ramps. I told her it was a "guy thing" and that's she's made similar connections when looking for some twiggy stuff to do arts and crafts with. She began to understand.



I'd love to see some pics. A few close-ups to show the weld/construction quality and also the strength of any hinges. Also, do the quads tie down to the rails/unit or to the truck somehow?
