never seen the dealer

i was just wondering. how many of you have never been to the dealer EVER. i could go for somthing small,but i just can not be bothered. its kind of like going to the hospital. only if unconscious. kp

08 5500 - 12K miles - 2 time - rained in the cab, clearance lights, and O2 sensor. .

06 2500 ram 0-21k so far never seen dealer.



Only local front end shops for alighments and tires everything else was done in the driveway here at the ranch.

My '01 went back to a dealer four times while in warranty. For a lift pump, for an APPS, for a MAP sensor, and for an oil pressure sender.



My '06 went back to the selling dealer only once, at 210,000 miles, to have a skilled and knowledgeable tech run diagnostics on the engine to determine if injection pump, all injectors, and related components were normal. Everything checked out.

 

[Rams-n-Hogs]

The 96 went in for warranty for a u-joint at 18000 miles. It also went in for the vacuum/brake system recall. Other than that, hasn't seen a dealer. 140,000 miles.



The 04 went in for the transmission line fix at about 10000 miles. It's got 65000 miles on it, now.

I got 60K and went once to check it out. Like stepping on to the set of 'Deliverance'. They didn't know what the 'B' schedule was as six or eight clustered around like vultures on road-kill. Freaky! Their mechanics bay consisted of floor jacks and 'Dolly Madison' Twinkie wrappers. I decided I'd DIM. That's do-it-myself, for all you in Rio Linda.

95 Auto, 300,000 km (that's about 180,000 miles). I've only owned it for 100,000 km but it's never been to the dealer since I've had it... nor will it.

Oh, and the first 2 fuel filters were replaced by the dealer for me. And the first oil change was free.
