Never sieze jeep spark plugs?

I have heard so many stories of plugs seizing into these aluminum heads that I would like to prevent it from happening in my wifes new jeep with a 4cyl.

Im wondering if never sieze,silicone based grease,or dielectric grease would be best on the threads

I will use dieelectric grease on the contacts at the coils but still not sure about the plug threads.

Permatex 133K is highly recommended on the Honda SOHC forums to keep spark plugs from seizing in aluminum cylinder heads.

Use Permatex Anti-Seize on the spark plug threads. I put 3 vertical strips around the circumference of the threads and then hand start them in the head.



Also, since you are using a "lubricant" on the threads, only torque to 50% to 75% of the specified torque. For example, if the torque spec is 20 ft-lbs, then only torque to 15 ft-lbs MAX.



Putting dielectric grease on the plug end or wire/coil is a very good idea to keep moisture out.

I use ARP Assembly lubricant instead of anti-sieze on just about everything.

Been using Lubriplate for nigh on to 40 years now with good results. A little goes a long way.
