My registration will go down each year but hit a minimum amount. I don't know what it will be but my 98 was $300 a year. My '13's minimum will be more I am sure. We are planning to move to Nevada at some point. Calif used to tax state retirement even if you lived out of state but not anymore so it will make sense to get out of here.

$72 a year for non commercial trucks regardless of value. Cars/SUV's are $55 a year regardless of value. My 14k lb tilt trailer and 5th wheel are each about $35 annually. ATV's are $25 every 3 years.

I feel for you guys!

I am green with envy. With exchange factored in we are paying the equivalent of $3.63 here in central British Columbia, Canada.

#2 dropped again, down to $2.04 at my favorite watering hole. Squeezed 48 gallons in for less than a Ben Franklin.

Hey guy's my registration for my 08 truck is $101.00 and the wife's TDI is $101.00 a year, with the trailer costing $50 a year. I guess I will stay in good old broke IL.

Yeah it's a drag. Jim W you must have B-Truck plates I had them on my 98.5 on the new 2014 had to get D plates because of the weight of the truck. When I first bought it was a little over $200.00 This year was about $156.00 plus you must get it tested 2x a year.

I'm just wondering If someone has weight there 2014 Ram truck on a scale haven't done it the truck in my signature how much does your truck weight. The actual weight of your truck.

This is unreal.

Are fuel prices similar between NJ and NY given the close proximity? Those are some nice prices!
We camp in western NY a handful of times a year (Chautauqua area) and the fuel prices always seem to be higher in NY than they are here. But the fuel price you posted for NJ is a good bit lower than here.

From what I've seen over the years Jersey is always cheaper. The fuel plazas on the New Jersey Turnpike for example are always busy and have competitive pricing.

South Carolina has some of the lowest fuel taxes, BUT then they get you on the property tax!! QT and some of the local chains are down to $1.79 but Loves/Pilot/ Flying Joke are still well above the $2.10 mark!! The property taxes can be a killer, when my 3500 was new in 14 they were $650/yr and will come down every year. BUT by hitting all the vehicle owners our house taxes are a lot lower. $700/ yr for an old 1800 sq ft house, 1600 sq ft garage, some other buildings and 55 acre of land. Truck plates for 25k gross would be about $250, But I am legal everywhere on Farm plates at $12!!! My 92 Caddy Sedan DeVille was $35 last year + $12 reg fee. I do not know what camper trailer run, BUT I think(??) they also have a property tax on them. Freight trailers ($87) and Utility trailers ($75), like my 32 ft gooseneck enclosed car trailer, are a one shot perminate plate with no property tax!!!

Tony. My signature 3500 C&C weighs i at 10,200 full of 110 gal fuel, some tools, and me in it.

I do not know how some dually truck owners get away with it but I have seen IL "B" truck plates on their trucks, in Oswego. I could see a
D-badge 3500 with "B" truck plates but not a dually that is a D truck plate for sure.

I think it's all about the taxes first, and then the law which dictates the blend state by state. NJ is in line with SC, GA etc. but the kooky thing is you need a dispensers license to pump gasoline. So pay the least, get the most service. It is self serve at the truck island though.

The full service law in NJ is pretty funky. I remember the first time I went with the wife to visit her family on the PA/NJ border. It was the first time anybody's pumped this country boys fuel!

Diesel this morning was $1.96 at most stations with a $1.93 a gallon at Sam's club. Then you have BP/Shell which thinks their diesel is made out of gold and sells this for a $2.24/$2.29 a gallon. Gas was $1.88 at most stations for regular.
