New 05 and WOW!!

Just sold my 2003, 2500 SO Auto and bought a 2005, 3500 drw 610 6 speed a few weeks ago. I did not realize I would see such a dramatic difference. I just towed with the 05 this weekend and could not believe the difference. I towed our 5th wheel camper to our favorite camping site. To the camp site with my 03 I had to take it out of overdrive 5 or 6 times and build up speed to 70mph to make it to the top of the hills so I would not lose to much speed. My pedal would be glued to the floor. Then along came the 05. I kept her in 6th speed the entire trip and never did the pedal even came close to reaching the floor. WOW!! The truck is awesome!! The only slight problem that I see is that it shutters a little bit when I start out in 2nd gear (not towing of course). It seems like Dodge would have fixed that problem in the 05’s because I have seen several complaints about that same thing happening in the 04. 5’s.

Congrats on the truck. . Im not sure about the shuttering, my 04. 5 doesn't have that issue.

No signs of shudder on takeoff. At least not that I can tell. Make 'em fix it.
