New '06 5600 is noisy

Did anyone else out there go into cardiac arrest while operating a cold truck with the 5600? The gear noise in my truck is considerable, in fact, I took it into the dealer to make sure it had fluid in the trans. Fluid levels in trans & transfer case both good but is very noisy when cold. Also, changing gears is not smooth. Feels like it nicks a tooth when going from 2nd to 3rd. The dealer says it will smooth out with a little use. Any others out there with these symptoms?

Mine is a little rough when its cold but after it gets up to operating temp it smootes out. Itt just needs time to get warm, then you can row like a hot knife through butter!!!

if reverse is to the left it's a G56. i have the same transmission. actually it's my first standard transmission. when cold it's noisy and resistant to shift. soon as it warms up it's smooth as silk. will switching to synthetic be a good mod in it?... james

The 2006 truck is G56 transmission and they aready come with synthetic in them, ATF+4

Most manuals COLD are stiff and notchy. Always have been. Sounds like normal operation to me.
