New 06 on its way(break in?)

I pick up my new quad cab long box 4x4 SLT on Thrus. Any advice on break in for the CTD.

All the CTDs come out of the factory ready to use and work hard.

A few other things may need to break in, so don't ride it too hard for the first 500 - 1K miles.

Use only dino oil in it for about the 1st 25K miles.

If not used and only babied, rings maynot seat, oil consumption may happen, and using synthetic oil increased the likely hood of these problems.



I would change the oil / filter after the 1st 500 miles just to make sure there's no crap floating around from manufacturing process. Then do regular oil changes.



You may want to change all oils in the first 500 - 1k miles just for the same reason.

Some people do, some dont. I like to , again to make sure any burs or FOD is out of there from manufacturing.
