Guys (and girls)... need opinions... . just bought an 06 (05 stolen)

I have a $4,000 credit at the dealer (they have a very large custom shop and work on all makes)...

I negotiated the $4k to include:

18" Moto Metal Rims (Black)

35" Toyo MT's (E Rated),

Bilsteen 5100's (Blue and silver)

5" Lift Kit (forgot who)... wasnt Fab Teck

I think the black rims will look cool with the dark grey truck color... . but I'm concerned about the 35" tires on a 3. 73 rear end..... I had dealers search all of california and arizona for a truck with 4. 10s and no dice, all dually's... so that wasnt an option, and I didnt want an 07 with the emmisions stuff..... so...

- I dont tow anything heavy... . but would want it to be able to pull a 19' boat (7l lbs??)

1. Will a 3. 73 ratio and 35's be an issue on drivability? / Mileage Impact?

2. If so, any guestimate on how much to get 4. 10's installed? Worth it?

3. Any alternate tire / rim combo's that would be better?

- Stock Rim's with 285's and 2" level kit and 5100 shocks?

- 33x12. 5x18's on the same 18" rims... .

Just need some input, i'm pretty sure the 35's will look good, but I dont want to make my truck a dog... .

Other... . I've got $3k extra money to spend afterward... . I'm leaning toward a Dtt VB/TC on the fresh transmission... . then a smarty (when they come out)... . and guages..... Is the transmission Upgrade work worth it for Stock Power? For a Smarty or equivalent??

or am I better off spending the $'s on switching to a 4. 10 rear end and getting the transmission / smarty later??

I know that's a lot of questions guys, but I've gotta get the shop ordering something in the next couple of days!

I had 35s on my truck and pulling my boats was no problem with power. My fuel mpg was a problem. With 35s I got 12-18 mpg. When fuel went up I went back to the stock 265s and I get 19-24. If I pull my 28 ft Proline to the coast I would get 15 mpg and when I pull my 21 ft Ranger bass boat I get 17 mpg. I only pull my Proline home when a storm gets close to the coast. I pull my ranger 2-3 times a wk. With my 35s I had 14mpgs pulling the Ranger. If I had a chance for new wheels and tires I would go with 20 inch wheels with the BFG at. I have 17 inch Weld wheels and they are $350. each so I cant just replace them with 20s but if the 20s had been around when I bought wheels I would have got those. The 20s ride real good and I have a set going on my mega cab. Not only will the tires hurt mpg but the lift will not help much do to more wind drag the hire you go. . But if its what you really want go for it and do what you feel is right. Remember no to days are ever the same and when every second goes by you will never be able to repeat things you wanted to at that time so go with what you feel and injoy it. When the day is gone its really gone forever.
