Just got my 02 (02 auto LWB SLT+ LS) - use to have 01. Here are some of my questions. -

1. Under normal driving conditions, what engine oil is best for my truck? No heavy loads...

2. What oil should be used in the limited slip?

3. 01 had edge ez, is edge ez still good for the 02? I know the connectors changed... Would injectors be better? I noticed that my new 02 has a much better lower end than my 01 with ez box and all mods. Maybe the lift pump was bad?

4. Should I wait til I get to a certain mileage to add fueling enhancements?

Thanks-

You must be a lawyer or you work for a newspaper. Let's see if I can answer your questions.

1. Petroleum based oil: My choice is Shell Rotella T 15/40. Synthetic is Amsoil.

2. Rear end fluid is Amsoil lube 2000 75/140 but if you are in cold country and do not haul or tow then the 75/90 would be fine.

3. the EZ is the best single enhacement that can be done to a Cummins. I think that the EZ has far better value than injectors alone. If you truck needs to go in for service the EZ comes off in seconds and leaves no trace. BUT, when you hook up an EZ and install the injectors, the result is multiplied! Mine went on the '02 at 125 miles. The injectors will go in at 12,500 miles.

4. Replied to your mirror thread.

Thanks for your opinions. Definitely not a lawyer or work for newspaper. :p Although I could handle a lawyers salary. .

Just try to cover all the bases...

Ihave an 02 just installed a Superchips D-Box. installs and removes very quickly. and the results are great:--)

I also use Rotella 15-40 and Fleetguard filters
