How many are going to trade-in or are waiting to buy the Crew Cab which is supposed to come out? How about the medium dutys? Anyone know what these will look like?

we just bought a Toyota Tundra quad cab 4WD to solve our multi-passenger needs. We'll keep the 89 regular cab for hauling and camping. A year with my son's 2000 RAM half ton quad cab convinced me that keeping my one ton and finding the best available half ton was the way to go.

I cant want to see the new crew cab since I want one. My wife likes the Fords, but I want to wait until the new Rams come out.

Now just think how many pieces were left off in order to add rear disc brakes. I can only imagine what will occur to add two doors!

I'm going to continue to cram into my quad cab!

I caught a look of a 2002 1/2 ton 2X4 last weekend at a major

cruise event here in the Detroit area. The truck was a 4 door S/B white sport with the 20" wheels. The truck looked real good in the sport package. By drooling thru the tinted windows, the best I can guess is the rear seat leg room is about double what we currently have in the QC. The Gen Mgr / Owner of my dealer, a personal friend, says that a truck was brought by his dealer with a manufacturers plate, and he said the back seat was fine for him, he's about 5'10". He said front seats all the way back and his knees still did not touch the back of the front seats.

I can say so far that my 2000 will have the big FOR SALE signs next summer. I will post the photo's as soon as I can get them developed. :D

I for one will wait for several years till they work out the bugs - which I'm suer there will be many with a new model year - crew cab or whatever one buys.

Couldn't wait. The 98 was toast and I needed a new truck. No 4 door from Dodge so I'm driving a Ford. I like it (never thought I'd say that). Maybe 3 or 4 years from now I'll look at another Dodge.

As you can see by my signature, I'm also waiting for the 2003 HD line. As long as my job stays secure, I'll be finally ordering my truck at that time.

As my signature indicates, we're going with the 2002 - already got the EZ waiting! :) As has been said, the QC fits in our garage with 3" to spare.

Not a true Crew cab.

If you all are waiting for a true full size crew cab like Fords/Chevy's I think you are in for disappointment.

True it will be a true 4 door, and a little bigger than the currant quad cab, but everything I have seen and heard is it is still not as big as the ford/Chevy true crew cab.

Time will tell.

Same as 1500

So hear we go again, the 2003 2500/3500 trucks will have the exact same sheet-metal as the 1500 (just like the current models do). When the heavier duty trucks debut for model year 2003, they will be available with the next generation Cummins diesel engine and will be available with dual rear wheels. As mentioned in last column they will have solid front axles. An updated version of the current 8. 0 liter V10 and MB's new light truck diesel will also be part of the mix.

The 1500 Crew cab is NOT a crew cab, only 3" lager than the Quad cab. Better, yes, True Crew cab, NO.

Sorry.
