Inferno Red. When we were in Santa Fe in August, we saw one that color and fell in love with it. When I ordered my 2004. 5 2500 I never dreamed I would own an RV. How heart surgery and living a little can change your thinking. How does your TrailAir coupler do on your Cedar Creek?

That is a nice color, is it new for 06? I do not remember seeing it when I got the 05. I think you will be a lot happier towing your trailer with the extra rear wheels.

Oh man thats pretty. I really like that color & so does the better half when I showed her the pic. Mine is deep molten red pearl. Wonder how much it would cost to have mine repainted.

I saw an 06 2500 in Light Khaki Metallic Clear coat last night. I really liked it, but the 12 year old Daughter went "yuch". But then she don't like any colors I do

I liked that Inferno Red too but the wife and I both like white so thats what we ordered. Actually we both really wanted the 06 Khaki but you can't get it on a DRW.

I wish that red had been available when I bought mine. I'm not all that happy with the Deep Moltin Red.

Being a young cancer survivor, I can atest to that...



Anyway, it's a good looking truck. I know you'll really appreciate how it pulls that trailer. Ours is steady as a rock.



The trailer came with the pin box already installed so I can't tell you about before and after, but if you look in the mirror while going down the road you can see that it is working. There is very little pitching, even on the crummy roads we have here or going down some of the dirt stretches when we dry camp at the lake. Very smooth riding.



With the centerpoint suspension, we've never noticed anything out of place when we arrive.

TrailAir coupler

I was asking about the TrailAir coupler because the Cedar Creek-Day Dreamer I have ordered will have that coupler on it. I should take delivery of the Day Dreamer next week.

Great truck. Your old truck (04. 5) appears to be a short bed, if so you have just taken a giant step forward with a 3500 long bed DRW. You will notice a big difference in stability and ride to nothing of the carrying capacity. Congratulations on the new ride. Great color too.

Last time I was by the shop I stopped in and looked at a Day Dreamer. Lots of nice upgrades in it, but we got a lot of them anyway in our Cedar Creek (side by side reefer, leather, Onan Genset, TrailAir, etc). I did like the full body paint, though. I was shocked that the paint alone adds $5-$8000 to the cost of a coach.



You'll enjoy yanking it around with the dually.

When you have the 5ver on check to see if the overload springs contact. Mine missed by less than half an inch. When I would hit a bump they would then contact and make a loud slapping noise.



I solved this by installing a longer bump stop so that the overloads contact with the trailer on but not unloaded.



There is an old thread about this on the 3rd gen board.

Day Dreamer

Juan,



My Cedar Creek did not have the larger frig. The Day Dream we ordered does and has the gen set prep on it in case I add a generator. The Dreamer also has the second a/c and the CC did not. I also like the larger axles and "G" rated tires. The Dreamer has dual pane windows and a better insulation kit. My CC was cold on my November trip at 15 degrees.

I have been aware of the overload slap. I will handle that after I get everything loaded and take a look at that.
