Folks,

Great site! I am 2000 miles into my new truck and like it very much. I pulled my 8500 lb trailer for the first time the other day and WOW! I would like to clean the transmission shifting up a little though. I have called several places and looked into this on this site as well. I am not into the crazy power that some of you freak's are  rather, I want proven reliability, better shifting, better torque converter management and bottom end power. I do not want to worry about EGT's at any time. For the most part this is what is being suggested:

1. Banks six gun w/speed loader set to level 3 for towing

2. AFE stage 1

3. Cat delete (not crazy about this)

Any thoughts and what’s the best place to purchase these items?

Thanks,

Tony

Welcome aboard! The Banks stuff has VERY mixed reviews. It seems their hardware (exhausts, intercoolers, etc. ) are really nice, but there has been some question as to their software stuff. I don't have either, so I don't have a horse in this race. Do some searches on Marco, Smarty, TST, etc. There is a ton of info here that will be easier for you to find, now that you can search. Also, trannys and oil will get things rolling in here! :-laf Seriously, there are lots of very good products out there for our trucks. You just have to find what works good for what you want to do. Have fun!

Smarty, VB, and TC to get started. Air induction is your choice. Your warranty is toast at that point so a hard look at fueling and filtration would be mandatory. Good luck and enjoy. :)

I agree their software does not interface well with the Dodge ECM, very problematic.

Keep the cat. cannot help with anything else. Welcome by the way! I hope your Inferno Red Mega has better paint than mine. Entire truck is orange peel. Other than that I really enjoy my 06 3500 Mega 6spd SRW!!

I have the same truck

I have had no problems with my transmission or truck. I added an eBrake and love it.

The EZ was a great addition. Stay away from Banks.

Please look at my website for mods.
