Some people just don't get it.

Cummins Cleaner Truck Engine Fuels Overseas Sales, Market Share

That's a 0. 5 Ton, as you can see from the 5? lug nuts!

Looks kinda targeted at the Stupor duty.

Those type of pictures are anything but revealing... looks like Dodge will get turning lamps on the sport mirrors. The body lines are obscured by blocking under the camo... . and the top pic is deceiving... is it a mega cab or a new quad cab, the body lines on the sheet metal don't match with the body lines on the camo... and if it's a mega cab... it's on a 1500 chassis(5 bolt axles). Currently, the 1500 mega is on a 2500 frame...

The 1500's are getting a V diesel, V6 or V8 apparently is still in the air after all the initial talk and testing was with a 5. 6L V8... it will be a Cummins though.

The cab is prolly a real crew cab. in between the quad and hte mega ya think? 3 or 4 more inches in back would make a WORLD of a difference in the quad.

Did now one else see this?

I clicked on the link further on down in the story (below the images) about the new transmissions. Oo. An automatically shifted manual running through a dual clutch on two concentric shafts. How cool is that?!!

It's not new. Audi has had the DSG. Tho be nice. Imagine that, 2 SBC clutches and programmability over how the manual launches. Make for some easy and consistent launches. Tie in a line lock as well and make diesel drags and sled pulls push button :)

This "new" transmission concerns me ... it seems to me that Dodge will try to do away with a real manual transmission and replace it with some computer controled nightmare, phony-balogna, psudo-manual.

If this nonsense infects the 2500-5500 trucks and the manual trannies are done away with, then we will know that Dodge is out of the truck business, and I'll be out of a Dodge.

I saw 4 brand new heavy duty trucks in Vegas today. They looked like 06-07 sheet metal, chassis cabs: 1 standard, 2 quad, 1 crew. 2 were pulling horse trailers - no horses, hay, or any signs of cowboyism. Plus, the 2 trailer towers each had a big steel block on the flatbed, purely for adding weight. The 4-door had a crappy, old utility body. The other had a plain jane enclosed cargo trailer.

It was a funny group, these brand new trucks, all with yellow, matching rear mudflaps, and crappy old stuff either bolted or hitched to them, not to mention the dead weight. They were running together and running hard. I was looking for communication and measuring gear, but couldn't spot any. I see a lot of test vehicles, usually cladded, between here and Death Valley. These weren't disguised at all and didn't look like the suspected 09 style.
