Cummins Cleaner Truck Engine Fuels Overseas Sales, Market Share

I've never had a pickup truck with an automatic transmission, but I'm thinking real hard about an 08 or 09 6. 7 with the 68RE. Given my recent medical problems with my left foot and now a broken right arm, I can't win for loosen.

I guess these photos bring me to a new set of observations/questions...

Is that 4 door they show going to replace the current quad cab or the current mega cab... I don't think it's going to be in between because Dodge just isn't going to offer 4 cab configs... . it's obvious from the camo'd pictures that the camouflage on the rear of the cab is not covering sheet metal... too much discontinuity in the body line.

In one of the photos, you can clearly see dual exhaust tips... what trim package level would that be for??

and I don't think you can rule out a 'true crew cab long bed' from these sets of pictures... I'd wait for something official from Dodge to start burning things.

SNiebaum, I was just going to say the same thing about that "continuation" of the cab. It doesnt line up on top and without any doubt is not the mega cab config. It sure looks like a standard crew cab to me. I hope this is true.

I could frankly care less about new automatics. I have always driven manuals, all of my company trucks are manuals and I am not fond of a computer telling me how to drive my trucks.

I posted this in reply #9, but will mention it again here.

Truckin' magazine has an article on the new dakota, if you look at it, you will probably get a good idea as to the new front end on the rams. -Nicholas

Thats not good news. I for one am not fond of the new dakota look. I wonder what it would take to put a cummins in the new ford????

Buddy of mine has the 6. 4, he said the market is flooded with them right now, people are dumping them.

What do you mean "dumping them"? Are you saying that there is already a large amount of USED 2008 Ford 6. 4 Powerstroke diesels on the used car lots? Or do you mean that the dealers are dropping the price REAL low to move them?
